Expression of Interest to Host GBR Events 2021-22

Expression of Interests for Gippsland clubs to host GBR events closes 17 September 2021

To be considered to host events, clubs must be able to provide the following:

• Availability of Club Match Committee Members to run the event on behalf of GBR (GBR will assist where possible) This includes conducting rink allocations on the day of play.

• Availability of suitably qualified Umpires to officiate at the event (GBR will assist)

• Provide lunches, when required, at a reasonable cost to players at a price set by the club

• Tea and Coffee facilities before, during & after play.

• Club Bowlslink officer to enter results into BowlsLink OR

• Phone/email facilities to send scores at the end of each round to the GBR Bowlslink Coordinator

• Collection of event entry fees on the day and payment of these fees to GBR. Expressions of Interest close on the 17th of September 2001, they will be reviewed by the Competitions Committee and their recommendations will be passed onto the GBR board for final approval.

Timelines and Procedures for Venue Selection

• By submitting an Expression of Interest, it will be assumed that the club agrees to the conditions set out above.

• Clubs are required to complete the form and return to GBR by the closing date indicated on the form.

• The members of the GBR Competitions Committee will consider all Expression of Interest forms.

• Clubs will be evaluated on all information provided on the Expression of Interest form with consideration being the standard of greens at that particular time of year, it will be expected that green speeds will be within the range of 13-17 seconds.

• All GBR events and State events will be conducted at region level for season 21-22.

• Section finals for both Midweek and Saturday will be conducted in the respective playing areas. Exception Midweek Division 1 which will be at region level.

• Events may be conducted across multiple venues when required, excepting section pennant preliminary & section finals and GBR pennant grand finals which will be conducted at one venue.

• Green fees have been set at $7.00 by the GBR board.

• Please Note: The final home and away of 6 team divisions will be conducted on the same day as the 8 team divisions semi-finals in North and East sections
