A look at Pennant after round 2

Two rounds of pennant have been completed, the first being played in very windy conditions. in the revamped Region 1 competition three sides remain undefeated, West Sale are sitting on top of the ladder with shots up separating them from Heyfield and Bairnsdale. Lurking in fourth spot are last years premiers Lakes Entrance 1 with a comprehensive victory over Maffra last week and a draw with last years finalist Sale 1 first round. Games to watch this week will be Stratford v Lakes 1, the home team will be keen for a win after defeating Sale 1 last week.
Sale 1 v Bairnsdale will be an indicator of the chances of Sale 1 figuring in the finals this season, they need the win. Paynesville v West Sale and Metung v Heyfield round out the top four games. Orbost v Lindenow is another match to watch, these two sides are always in finals contention.

Division 2
East section has Paynesville 2, Bairnsdale 2 and Lakes Entrance 3 undefeated with Lakes Entrance 4 in fourth spot. There will some changes after this weeks round as Bairnsdale 2 v Lakes Entrance 4 and Lakes Entrance 3 v Paynesville 2.
North section has Maffra 2 and Yarram 1 undefeated with Heyfield 2 in third spot. Sale 3 v Yarram 2 is a must win for Sale languishing in sixth spot. West Sale 2 v Heyfield 2, a win for West Sale will see them overtake Heyfield on the ladder.

Division 3
East Section, Lakes Entrance 5 and Bairnsdale Golf 1 are the two undefeated sides. Metung v Lakes Entrance 5 and Bairnsdale Golf 1 V Orbost 2 could see them remain undefeated but Metung are sitting in fourth spot and will be looking for a win. Bairnsdale 4 are third playing Paynesville who are yet to open their account.
North section see Rosedale the only undefeated team with Sale 5 and 4 making up the top spots. Rosedale will be looking to stay undefeated playing Heyfield 3 who are yet to record a win.

Division 4
East section has some changes with Howitt Park withdrawing their side, Paynesville took the opportunity to fill the vacancy with Paynesville 6. Lindenow 3 and Lakes Entrance 6 are undefeated. Lakes Entrance will play the Paynesville 6 side and Lindenow will be playing Bairnsdale 5 at Bairnsdale.
North section has Sale 6 the only undefeated side with Maffra 3 and West Sale 3 making up the top spots. Sale 6 play West Sale 3 and will be looking for a win to consolidate top spot.
