Gippsland Region team named
Congratulations to the 2023 Region Sides team, which has been finalised by the Selection Committee.
The women’s team comprises Janelle Abraham, Pam Carter, Jan Morton and Julie Simic (Sale); Judy Beesley, Rhonda Sadovsky and Colleen Smith (Paynesville); Marg Brandhoj and Jo Martin (Lakes Entrance); Gail McKenzie (West Sale); Leonie Flynn and Kirstie White (Stratford); and Mary Wyndham Smith (Bairnsdale).
The men’s team is Brendan Addison and Brad Lancaster (Lakes Entrance); Mark Challman and Rhys Selleck (Paynesville); Stephen Chalmer and Peter Gould (Sale); Rohan Kelly (Heyfield); Brad Montant and Jared Sergi (Bairnsdale); James McCausland and Wayne Morris (West Sale); Nigel Plunkett (Lindenow); and Jason White (Stratford).
Side Managers will be confirmed at the next GBR Board meeting.
The Selection Committee was pleased at the interest shown by and quality of bowlers who put their names forward for consideration. All have been personally notified about the team’s final makeup.
The team will play a practice match against Strezlecki Region on 13 May at Traralgon before the championships at Moama at the end of May.
